Mahals are a variety of the distinguished Sarouk, produced in Sultanabad (current day Arak) in northwest Iran, a prominent center of village and workshop productions in the 19th and 20th centuries, often for the European market. This beautiful vintage and distressed rug will make lasting impression in any setting.
