This soft contrast antique Oushak features a central medallion, stylized palmettes and eccentric meandering vine forms with leaves and rosettes. The scale of the border matches the large scale forms of the field. Oushak , in central Anatolia, has been an important center of Turkish weaving since the fifteenth century.
